Syfy Plots an H.G. Wells-centric 'Warehouse 13' spinoff

Syfy is developing a spinoff for the popular dramedy "Warehouse 13."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project would be written by "Warehouse 13" showrunner Jack Kenny and a currently-unnamed writer and will focus on the H.G. Wells character played by Jaime Murray last season.

Helena Wells was introduced in the show's second season, with the explanation that the character -- sister of the author -- had been bronzed in the 1890s and released in the 21st Century.

The spinoff would be set in the 1890s and would, according to the trade, utilize a "steampunk environment."

Stay tuned for more details.

"Warehouse 13" is Syfy's most watched series, averaging 3.4 million viewers for its second season. Season Three of "Warehouse 13" will premiere on July 11.
