Lou Diamond Phillips wins NBC's 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'
NBC's revamped version of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!" premiered on June 1 without an outpour of hype and largely derisive reviews. For a week, folks in the media talked incessantly about the behavior of Spencer Pratt his less interesting wife Heidi and about the show's decision to celebrate Patti Blagojevich as a cultural hero, rather than the wife of an alleged criminal.
Four weeks later, after night after night of third (and occasionally second and sometimes fourth) place finishes, "I'm a Celebrity" ended its season. And the media generally chose to ignore both the finale and the results.
In case you're curious, Lou Diamond Phillips was your winner, as America decided to endorse one of the show's least disgusting participants. So at least we got that right.
