'Twilight' fans will get first peak at 'Eclipse' in March
It's not really that much of a surprise, but word has leaked out that Summit Entertainment plans on releasing the first official preview of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" in front of the Robert Pattinson drama "Remember Me" on March 12.
Directed by David Slade, "Eclipse" is the third installment of the "Twilight" franchise and will open nationwide on June 30 just in time for the July 4 holiday weekend. It's the first film in the franchise to open during the summer and comes only seven months after "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" shattered box office records. "New Moon" opened to the single biggest Friday and opening day of all-time and placed third all-time for overall opening weekend gross behind "The Dark Knight" and "Spider-Man 3" with a massive $142.8 million over three days. "New Moon's current gross -- it's still in some theaters -- is $295.1 million.
No word yet whether the trailer will debut online before "Remember Me" hits theaters or the Monday after.
