Mark Burnett brings 'Little People' to FOX
Mark Burnett, who helped FOX lampoon grown-ups who are stupider than 5th graders is ready to turn his attentions to some youngsters who are smarter than most intelligent grown-ups.
FOX has picked up "Our Little Genius," a game show that pits child geniuses between the ages of 6 and 12 against each other to prove how much they know.
"In television, we often showcase kids who are incredible singers, actors or dancers, so it's high time we give the spotlight to kids with incredible brains," says FOX's reality guru Mike Darnell. "The kids on this show are ridiculously smart, and with its unique appeal to both parents and children alike, I think 'Our Little Genius' is one of Mark Burnett’s most compelling creations yet."
The show's catch? The kids can play as long as they want, but their parents are in charge of stopping the game if they're ready to walk away with however much money has been accumulated.
FOX has yet to announce a host or premiere date for "Our Little Genius."
If you happen to know a little genius of your own and want to be involved with the show, FOX asks that you send inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org.
