Jeremy Piven heads to British TV for 'Mr. Selfridge'
Less than a year after wrapping up an Emmy-winning run on HBO's "Entourage," Jeremy Piven is ready to return to the small screen, but there's a catch.
Piven has officially signed on to play the lead role in "Mr. Selfridge," a new period drama from Britain's ITV1.
Created by Andrew Davies, "Mr. Selfridge" will feature Piven as Harry Gordon Selfridge, the American retailer behind England's Selfridges department store. Selfridge is credited with revolutionizing the idea that shopping could be pleasurable, rather than a boring necessity. Joining three-time Emmy winner Piven in the drama, slated for 10 hour-long episodes, are Katherine Kelly, Frances O'Connor, Gregory Fitoussi, Trystan Gravelle and Zoe Tapper.
