'Perfect Couples,' 'Off the Map' stars line up new pilots
It's that time of spring again in Hollywood, the time when stars of struggling bubble shows begin to line up alternative pilots, just in case their current projects get the axe.
Case in point: Kyle Bornheimer has landed a lead in FOX's "Council of Dads" pilot, which also features Diane Farr, Patrick Breen and Ken Howard. "Council of Dads" would obviously be in second position to Bornheimer's "Perfect Couples," which has struggled on NBC's Thursday.
Bornheimer has starred in CBS' "Worst Week" and ABC's "Romantically Challenged."
Second case-in-point: NBC's "The Crossing" has now cast a pair of leads from ABC's struggling "Off the Map," with lead roles in the Civil War drama going to Martin Henderson and Rachelle Lefevre. Again, both actors are contractually bound to "Off the Map," putting "The Crossing" in second position.
