Dreams vanish as soon as they're born: that Faces reunion we warned you about last month? It seems Rod Stewart won't be making it.

The singer and solo artist has strep through and is too sick to both attend and perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony this weekend, according to Billboard.

That makes it two iconic frontmen who won't be attending this year, since Axl Rose very publicly blew off the honor.

If Stewart was able to make the induction, it would have been the first time that the Faces had performed together in their original lineup in 19 years.

Fun fact: Stewart also missed his solo induction in 1994, when an earthquake struck Los Angeles two days earlier.
