FOX orders more 'Bob's Burgers' scripts
"Bob's Burgers" wasn't in danger of going anywhere any time soon, but FOX has given a vote of confidence to the Emmy nominated animated comedy.
According to Deadline.com, FOX has ordered six additional scripts for the series, keeping the writers hard at work on the third season slate of episodes, though these additional episodes probably wouldn't air until an official fourth season of the show.
Confused? That's just how it goes in the world of long-lead animation.
FOX had already ordered a 13-episode third season of "Bob's Burgers" before the second season premiered in March. But only nine second season episodes aired in the spring. So Deadline notes that "Bob's Burgers" has an additional 13 Season 2 episodes to air this season, as well as the 13-episode third season. If these scripts get ordered as episodes, that would make a 19-episode third season.
Anyway, don't get hung up on the details. "Bob's Burgers" is on solid footing for the future.
