NBC takes 'Mercy' on 'Dancing with the Stars' runner-up Mya
It was a hard week for Mya. First she got hosed and lost the "Dancing with the Stars" crown to Donny Osmond. Then she was cast in NBC's derivative medical dramedy "Mercy."
Oh wait. That last part, getting cast in "Mercy," was actually good news for Mya. And, in fact, even if she didn't win "Dancing with the Stars," that ABC talent show was also only a boon for a career that had fallen off the radar in recent years.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Mya will play the daughter of an 80-year-old man under the care of Michelle Trachtenberg's Chloe on the Jan. 6 episode of "Mercy."
