'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' 'Jon & Kate' finales draw big ratings

The latest season finale of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and the presumptive series finale of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" both attracted large audiences.

The larger crowd turned out to say farewell to the carny freakshow that "Jon & Kate" has become. "Jon & Kate" drew 4.3 million viewers for its Monday (Nov. 23) episode, well below the 10 million viewers who turned out in June to hear that the couple was separating, but far above the audience for recent episodes.

TLC had announced plans for a "Kate Plus 8" spinoff, but assorted lawsuits have derailed that show, at least in the present.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" drew a much-less-impressive 1.3 million viewers for its finale, but it was still the show's most watched finale in five seasons. Adding in a later repeat showing, more than 2 million viewers caught "Curb" on Sunday night.

The fate of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is now in Larry David's hands.
