After five seasons, Elizabeth Perkins is leaving Showtime's "Weeds."
According to The Hollywood Reporter,
Perkins has completed her won't be back for this sixth "Weeds" season starting this summer, leaving behind a role that has earned her three Emmy nominations and a pair of Gold Globe nods.
Instead, she'll be making a move back to the big screen, starting with the live-action/CG-animated "Hop," also starring James Marsden and the voice of Russell Brand.
Perkins hasn't had a feature role since "Must Love Dogs" back in 2005.
The trade says that Perkins is also developing a television comedy for herself.
