Owl City announces release of pre-Owl City project, Sky Sailing
Before there was Owl, there was Sky.
"Fireflies" singer Owl City (aka Adam Young) announced this week that he will be releasing a set of songs that were written before hit album "Ocean Eyes" was even a twinkle in his, well, eye.
Under the Sky Sailing moniker will the album "An Airplane Carried Me to Bed" be released, in the third week of July. The album is being mastered later this month.
"These recordings are a step into the past, the documented account of a shy boy from Minnesota with more hopes and dreams than he knew what to do with. I am so very excited to share it with you,” the songwriter says in a statement.
Our prediction? Sky Sailing sounds exactly like Owl City.
