Ed Westwick and Gemma Arterton find "Wuthering Heights"
A new cinematic incarnation of Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights" has long been in the works and now it seems a bit closer to reality.
Variety reports "Gossip Girl's" Ed Westwick and "Quantum of Solace's" Gemma Arterton are set to play the legendary characters Heathcliff and Cathy in a new version of "Heights." At one point both Natalie Portman and Abbie Cornish were attached for Arterton's role.
Director Peter Webber ("Girl with a Pearl Earring" and "Hannibal Rising") has also come on board to replace John Marbury (the underrated "The Edge of Love").
However, with Westwick's "Gossip" schedule it's unclear when production will begin on the project. As for Arterton, she'll pop up next summer opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in "The Prince of Persia: Sands of Time."
