'Cougar Town' cast lines up over a dozen background cameos
If you want to see the cast of "Cougar Town" playing their familiar roles on their ABC comedy, you're going to have to wait until January.
If you want to see the cast of "Cougar Town" in really random background cameos? Just start looking around.
According to USA Today, "Cougar Town" stars are going to pop up on all manner of shows, starting with this past week's "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice," which included cameos by Ian Gomez, Courteney Cox and Christa Miller.
But that's not all.
Keep an eye out for "Cougar Town" stars in the background on ABC's "Body of Proof," "Castle," "Dancing With the Stars," "Man Up" and "The Middle," CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" and Nick Jr's "Yo Gabba Gabba." The paper reports that cameos on "Parenthood" and "2 Broke Girls" are also possible.
By the time "Cougar Town" returns at midseason, co-creator Bill Lawrence hopes to have his stars -- Dan Byrd, Josh Hopkins, Busy Philipps and Brian Van Holt will also be involved -- dropping by 20 or more current shows.
