Justin Long, Octavia Spencer head for CBS' 'Mom'
With Anna Faris and Allison Janney, CBS' "Mom" doesn't lack for starpower, but the comedy is adding an Oscar winner and a TV/film favorite for its first season.
At the TCA Press Tour, the "Mom" team revealed that Justin Long will reunite with "Waiting" co-star Faris playing a love interest for for the show's main character. He'll be recurring.
Also recurring is Oscar winner Octavia Spencer, who will appear in the show's fifth episode playing a woman who has even bigger problems than the main character, a recovering alcoholic dealing with the return of her estranged mother.
"Mom" premieres on Monday, September 23.
