Siamese Dreamin': New Smashing Pumpkins bassist was band cover girl
Not entirely sure how something like this could have been kept under wraps for so long, but it at least makes for a fun story: Nicole Fiorentino, the Smashing Pumpkins' newest bassist, is claiming to be one of the two little girls photographed on the cover of the band's epic "Siamese Dream." And Billy Corgan only just now found this out.
“Just found out the weirdest news: our bass player Nicole (@xocoleyf) just admitted she is one of the girls on the cover of Siamese Dream," he Tweeted Thursday night. "
Fiorentino apparently didn't tell Corgan when she joined the band a year ago because it may have hurt her chances of actually getting in. "She said she didn't want us to know because she thought maybe we wouldn't let her be in the band."
Fiorentino -- who is the band's fourth bassist -- is 31 now and would have been around the age of 13 for the shot.
