Laura Prepon will play Chelsea Handler in NBC pilot
"That '70s Show" star Laura Prepon is looking to return to TV comedy, starring as the Chelsea Handler surrogate in NBC's comedy pilot "Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea."
Based on Chelsea Handler's book about life in her 20s, the pilot has been adapted by Dottie Zicklin and Julie Larson, with Handler executive producing, according to Deadline.com.
Prepon's character in the multi-camera comedy will be a cocktail waitress with opinions.
Most recently seen guesting on "Castle" and "How I Met Your Mother," Prepon transitioned from her long "That 70s Show" run to drama with a regular role on ABC's "October Road."
