Believe it or not: Mountain Dew signs its first music act - Cool Kids
Mountain Dew may be a little too sugary for some palates, but Chicago hip-hop troupe Cool Kids ought to be nothing but pleased with their sweet deal with the PepsiCo soda company.
The Dew's Green Label Sound label/imprint is opening up an iTunes album storefront and has tapped the duo to inaugurate the company initiative. Cool Kids' "When Fish Ride Bicycles" is set for release this spring, and the group will keep all sales revenue from its sale: Green Label will only collect proceeds fo the iTunes processing fees, according to Billboard.
The imprint has previously pushed singles through its website from breaking artists, including acts like Chromeo.
