Tom Cruise may meet his younger self in 'Our Name is Adam'
Will Tom Cruise soon meet a younger version of himself onscreen?
The actor is attached to the sci-fi film "Our Name Is Adam," according to Variety. Although plot details are being kept largely under wraps, it's being reported that the film centers on an astronaut who travels to the past and comes into contact with his younger self. It certainly worked for Bruce Willis in "Looper."
"Adam" will be produced by Mary Parent ("Pacific Rim" ) from a spec script written by T.S. Nowlin (the upcoming "Agent 13"). No director is attached at this point.
The film the latest in a line of sci-fi titles to attract Cruise, who is planning to shoot the post-apocalyptic "Oblivion" and time-traveling drama "All You Need Is Kill" back-to-back.
Additionally, Cruise is attached to a number of other films, including a "Magnificent Seven" remake, the "Van Helsing" re-boot, and yet another "Mission: Impossible" film.
He'll next be seen in Christopher McQuarrie's "Jack Reacher" on December 21.
