They NEED Bale as Batman! Like Robert Downey Jr. giving credibility to Iron Man which made people vested in not only him but essentially gave way to the needed foundation of the Avengers- Bale does the same thing for Batman. The only way JL works is if Bale is Batman. People already love Bale's version why not use that love as the springboard for JL???

mmcb105 The only problem is that Bale would never do it. The studio would cast him in a heartbeat, likely at whatever salary he wants, they arent the ones keeping this from becoming a reality. Their willingness to cast JGL is simply an idea they are floating because they are desperate to connect Nolan's Batman series to the new justice league universe for exactly the reason you stated for Downey and the avengers.

Shawn I agree except for when you say Bale wouldn't do it. The key is getting Nolan to be involved somehow (best would be if he directed). Bale has said that he would gladly put on the suit again if Nolan was behind it. I know Nolan has said he's not going to be involved in the JL but he's the key behind the only way the JL will ever be as big as the Avengers. Get Nolan and we get Bale as Batman and then off we go to major success for everyone!!

Spencer But the thing is how can you have Batman if he isn't Bruce Wayne if they are following Nolan's universe?

Sadly DC was beaten to the punch, and badly, by the Avengers. No matter what at this point its going to seem like a knockoff, especially if they do a similar run of solo movies. JLA is not being made if Avengers wasn't so big.
I'd rather DC focus on putting out top notch solo films such as the recent Nolan trilogy and (hopefully) Man of Steel. DC shouldn't feel pressured to copy marvel's blueprint.
