Damon Lindelof plots TV return with HBO's 'The Leftovers'
Perhaps smarting from "Prometheus" reviews or maybe just eager to return to the small screen, "Lost" co-creator is locked in to co-write a pilot based on "The Leftovers" with the book's author Tom Perrotta.
The adaptation of the 2011 novel, which focuses on the aftermath of an unlikely Rapture, is set up at HBO.
According to Deadline.com, Lindelof and Perrotta will executive produce with Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger. If the pilot goes to series, Lindelof will remain as showrunner.
In addition to his tenure on "Lost," Lindelof's TV credits include "Crossing Jordan" and "Nash Bridges."
