Nathan Lane lands a 'Good Wife' role
We were so busy writing about "The Good Wife" landing Maura Tierney, Marc Warren and Kristin Chenoweth for various recurring roles this week that we just didn't get around to mentioning that Nathan Lane is ALSO joining the Emmy-winning drama.
CBS announced that Lane's first appearance will be in the September premiere, playing a financial manager recruited by the bank to help return Lockhart & Gardner to solvency. He'll be at odds with everybody at the firm, naturally.
It's unclear if Lane taking a recurring role on "Good Wife" means that USA has decided not to move forward with his comedy pilot for the cable network.
Lane has been nominated for three Emmys, most recently for a guest role on "Modern Family." He's also been nominated for three Daytime Emmys, winning two.
