When season four of "Parks and Recreation" ended with Ben (Adam Scott) moving to D.C., some viewers probably didn't expect to see much more of him.

It turns out, however, that the show is following him there -- or at least the fifth season premiere is. 

The NBC comedy, which takes place in Pawnee, Ind. and shoots in L.A., will lens key scenes on location in the nation's capital for the new season's premiere and potentially for subsequent episodes, according to TVLine.

Leslie (Amy Poehler) will also appear in Washington in the episode, in which Ben is transitioning into his new job as a political strategist. The timing is fortuitous for the show, with the presidential election taking place this November. 

"Parks and Rec''s" fifth season debuts September 20 on NBC.
