Naomi Watts' Princess Diana biopic gets a new name
When the upcoming Princess Diana biopic, starring Naomi Watts as the ill-fated British royal, was first talked up at the Berlin and Cannes Film Festivals, it was known as "Caught in Flight."
The film has now been re-christened as, simply, "Diana," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The sure-to-be-controversial film will focus on Diana's alleged trysts with heart surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan ("Lost's" Naveen Andrews) and Dodi Fayed.
Douglas Hodge and Juliet Stevenson also star.
Oliver Hirschbiegel (who chronicled the life of Adolf Hitler in "Downfall") is directing from a screenplay by Stephen Jeffreys ("The Libertine").
Watts recently co-starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Clint Eastwood's "J. Edgar."
