Black Keys finish new album with Danger Mouse
Well, that was fast. Fresh off their Grammy-nominated "Brothers" album from last year, The Black Keys are rarin' to go with another new album, again with Danger Mouse.
Guitarist and vocalist Dan Auerbach told Spin that the band is planning on releasing the as-yet-untitled set later this year, as recording is finished.
“The new album doesn’t sound like Brothers,” he said. “It doesn’t have that open soul feel to it. It’s way more driving and the tempos are really fast.”
He also said the band was inspired by The Clash, The Cramps, rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly and garage rock for this effort.
Danger Mouse produced "Brothers" and 2008's "Attack & Release."
