Lady Gaga miffs fans from wheelchair, YouTube account temporarily suspended
It's been a little bit of a weird week for Lady Gaga. Her HBO concert special scored five Emmy nominations, but then Rihanna surpassed Mother Monster's number of fans on Facebook. Additionally, her very popular YouTube channel was suspended on Thursday due to "multiple or severe violations of YouTube's copyright policy," said AP. "Reports have suggested that the infringing video was a recently uploaded clip of Gaga's performance on Fuji TV."
Additionally, Gaga was down under in Australia but miffed some fans and disability advocacy groups for a stage stunt: She rolled onto the stage in a wheelchair at Sydney Town Hall, to sing "You and I," wearing a mermaid outfit. She and her entourage dodged thrown eggs later in the week.
"I invite [Gaga] to learn more about the 5.6 million Americans who live with paralysis. They, like me, unfortunately, don't use a wheelchair for shock value," said a spokesperson for quadriplegic advocacy group Life Rolls On to Radar.
