Angelina Jolie won't be promoting 'Unbroken' because she has the chicken pox
Angelina Jolie has not had the best week. She's already been insulted by one of Hollywood's biggest producers, Scott Rudin, in an E-mail exchange between Rudin and Sony Pictures chairperson Amy Pascal. A correspondence that was one of many leaked after Sony was hacked earlier this month and have led to a firestorm of criticism for both Rudin and Pascal. Jolie was set to star in a remake of "Cleopatra" for the studio. Judging by her reaction to seeing Pascal at an industry event the day after the exchange was leaked we're betting she's no longer interested.
To make matter worse, Jolie revealed this evening that she has come down with - no joke - the chicken pox. The disease is rare in adults, but it's also much more painful than when kids contract it.This follows the Rudin/Pascal leak and the disappointment of "Unbroken" receiving zero Screen Actors Guild or Golden Globes nominations on Wednesday and Thursday. When it rains it pours.
In a video you can watch on this page Jolie reveals her current illness and shares her disappointment over not being able to continue to promote her second directorial effort, Oscar contender "Unbroken." The film's LA premiere is on Monday night and while she won't be there, husband Brad Pitt and her kids will be.
