The CW wants more 'Hellcats,' 'One Tree Hill' scripts
The CW has ordered six additional scripts for the first-year cheerleading drama "Hellcats" and six more scripts for the unkillable veteran "One Tree Hill," according to the LA Times.
The ordering of additional scripts isn't the same thing as the ordering of additional episodes, of course, but it bodes well for the two series.
You know what else bodes well for "Hellcats"? Becoming the first CW series in recent memory to air after "America's Next Top Model" and retain any meaningful piece of the show's audience. Then again, after premiering with roughly 3 million viewers three weeks ago, "Hellcats" has slipped in two subsequent episodes, drawing just over 2.3 million viewers this week.
"One Tree Hill" has been averaging under 2 million viewers, so those "Hellcats" numbers would look good in Tree Hill.
