Is Chris Nolan interviewing directors for 'Superman'?
Has Christopher Nolan begun the search for a director for the "Superman" reboot? Some are disputing the report, but Deadline certainly thinks so. The outlet says the current candidates are the following:
Tony Scott (upcoming "Unstoppable," "Crimson Tide,")
Matt Reeves (upcoming "Let Me In," "Cloverfield")
Jonathan Liebesman (upcoming "Clash of the Titans 2" and "Battle: Los Angeles")
Duncan Jones (upcoming "Moon," "Source Code")
Zack Snyder ("300," "Watchmen")
Nolan, who will produce the film, has supposedly taken meetings with all the candidates, but it's unclear who the leading contender is. What no one will dispute is that production needs to begin sometime before the end of 2011 as the picture must be released in 2012. A judge has ruled Warner Bros. will lose certain rights to the character in 2013.
