The world finally gets its first look at 'The Beaver'

Summit Entertainment had very high hopes for Jodie Foster's latest directorial effort, "The Beaver," earlier this year. Fashioned from a buzzed about script,  the unconventional drama was even seen as a potential awards season player.  That was, of course, until star Mel Gibson's return to the gossip sites this summer after accusations of domestic violence against his former girlfriend.  That immediately caused Summit to pull the film from the release schedule and it was unclear when it would hit theaters.  Now, the studio has decided that next spring is the best option for a fair release (and somewhat less competitive than awards season).  To celebrate, the first trailer for the film has been released and it's very impressive.  Not only could Foster have delivered her best picture yet, but Gibson's turn might just make everyone forget about his personal troubles…for a bit at least.  Check out the new trailer and judge for yourself.
