'Game of Thrones' adds 'Tudors' actress for Season 2
HBO's "Game of Thrones" has begun filling out its roster for Season Two with what would appear to be a bit of forward-looking casting.
According to EW.com, Natalie Dormer has been cast as Margaery Tyrell in the George R.R. Martin adaptation, which resumes production on July 25.
[If you don't want to know any details at all, stop reading.] Margaery is introduced in the second book as child bride to Renly Baratheon. She's introduced as a 16-year-old, which makes Dormer's casting fairly inappropriate, but the character has increased importance later on. No more spoilers beyond that.
Dormer is best known for her run as Anne Boleyn on Showtime's "The Tudors." Her feature credits include "Casanova" and the upcoming "Captain America."
