Mark Ruffalo says 'Avengers 2' will be 'better,' 'darker'
Remember last week when Scarlett "Black Widow" Johansson stated that Joss Whedon's recently-completed script for "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" is "Very cerebral" and "Dark," but with the writer's signature sense of humor?
Unsurprisingly, her co-star Mark "Hulk" Ruffalo agrees.
"I would say that it's better, it's cooler, it's more awesomer," the actor told MTV. "It's a little bit darker, but also really has Joss Whedon's incredibly witty and sly sense of humor."
He added that as fan favorite character the Hulk he "gets to do such great stuff."
With Warner Bros.' "Man of Steel" sequel having left for 2016, Marvel will likely rule the crowded summer 2015 box office, between "Avengers 2" and the much buzzed-about "Ant-Man."
Marvel also has a mystery movie slated for summer 2016, which many fans are speculating to be "Doctor Strange." However, another attempt at a "Hulk" solo film hasn't yet been ruled out.
"Ultron" also features the return of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle and Cobie Smulders, plus newcomers Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and James Spader.
"The Avengers: Age of Ultron" opens May 1, 2015.
