Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler reuniting with 'Wet Hot American Summer' director for 'They Came Together'
We might have to wait a while for a sequel to the 2001 cult hit "Wet Hot American Summer," but two of that film's principles are reuniting with director David Wain for a romantic comedy spoof called "They Came Together."
Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler will star in the film as would-be enemies who, as rom-coms dictate, start to develop feelings for each other despite the fact that his big corporation is threatening the existence of her knick-knack store, according to Variety. "Together" also promises to send up other cliches of the genre, and will likely feature a host of cameos.
Rudd has appeared in all of Wain's films, including "The Ten," "Role Models" and this year's "Wanderlust." He'll soon be seen in Judd Apatow's "This Is Forty."
Poehler will soon be seen in the comedies "A.C.O.D." and "You Are Here."
Rudd and Poehler have also appeared together in the current season of "Parks and Recreation" (pictured).
