Matt Damon to race as Lance Armstrong?
Columbia has recruited "Seabiscuit" Oscar nominee Gary Ross to write a long-gestating biopic about cyclist Lance Armstrong.
The project will be based on Lance Armstrong's 2000 book "It's Not About the Bike," about his recovery from cancer and his 1999 Tour de France win, the first of his seven titles in cycling's most frequently disgraced race.
The latest name linked -- completely and totally unofficially -- to the main role is Matt Damon, according to The Hollywood Reporter, without offering an iota of evidence.
As you can see from the attached picture, Damon is a bit of a cyclist himself. The "Good Will Hunting" Oscar winner will next be seen in "The Informant," "Green Zone" and "Invictus," all set for release later this year.
