David Fincher wants Christian Bale to play Steve Jobs in biopic
Christian Bale seems like to be the right man for the "Jobs."
Sony's recently announced Steve Jobs biopic is reuniting the "Social Network" team of director David Fincher and writer Aaron Sorkin, and Fincher apparently wants the Oscar-winning "Dark Knight" star to play the title role.
In fact, according to The Wrap, Fincher will only sign on to the film if Bale is hired. However, nothing is confirmed, and Bale allegedly hasn't yet officially been offered the role.
The untitled Jobs film is based on Walter Isaacson's bestselling biography, which was released in 2011, the same year Jobs passed away.
Scott Rudin and Mark Gordon are producing the new biopics with Film 360's Guymon Casady.
Last year's box office flop "Jobs" starred Ashton Kutcher in the title role.
Bale recently wrapped Ridley Scott's "Exodus," in which he played Moses. He'll soon be seen in two currently-uncheduled Terrence Malick films.
