Piranha 3-D won't be biting until August
Surprise! The Weinstein Company has delayed yet another movie.
The horror remake "Piranha 3-D" was set to open on April 16, but now TWC has decided to push the picture to August 27. Why you may ask? Well, it's a less competitive date (who wants to go up against "Kick-Ass"?) which means you can spend less on your advertising budgets and TWC may be too cash-poor this Spring to properly open the movie.
Here's the film's incredibly descriptive official synopsis:
"In Lake Havasu, Arizona, a tremor causes the lake's floor to open, setting free scores of prehistoric piranhas."
Guess we don't need to know much more huh?
Other Weinstein films still looking for release dates including John Cusack's "Shanghai," "Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil," Ryan Gosling's "All Good Things" and "Hurricane Season."
