Is one of the least utilized players on "Saturday Night Live" about to find more use on a FOX pilot?
Abby Elliott is expected to take a lead role in FOX's comedy pilot "Ben Fox Is My Manny," from "Couples Retreat" scribe Dana Fox. Yes. That's a lot of Foxes, eh?
Elliott would play an uptight single mother raising a child with her laid-back brother. Hilarity might ensue.
According to
EW.com, Elliott received clearance from "Saturday Night Live" guru Lorne Michaels to take on the pilot and she'd be let out of her "SNL" contract if FOX picked up "Fox."
It's unclear how the details will be worked out and the EW.com story doesn't sound entirely sure, so stay tuned.
