Dave Grohl's Sound City Players slate sole New York show
Since it was announced that Dave Grohl's documentary "Sound City" would premiere at Sundance this year, the musician and filmmaker has announced, too, a scant few shows in support of the film, featuring some of its guests.
After performing in Park City and, this week, in Los Angeles, the group has another date on the sked. Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Lee Ving of Fear, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick and Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine will be joining the Foo Fighters and Nirvana member Grohl on the Feb. 13 stop at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
Tickets for the show go on sale Feb. 5.
It was also revealed this week that "Sound City" would be screened at the South By Southwest Film Festival. Which is also in conjunction with the Music festival. Which may insinuate that Grohl and his Players will bring the show to Austin, Texas in March.
