Jessie J and Adele lead the new crop of Brit Award nominations this year with three nods each. Overall, the British music honors are led by ladies, joined by names like Laura Marling, Florence + The Machine and PJ Harvey.

Adele Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Harvey and Florence are all up for Album of the Year; Beyonce, Bjork, Feist, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are pitted against each other in the International category.

Adele and Jessie J will be facing off in the British Female Solo category, but also in the British Single category, where JLS, Example, One Direction and The Wanted also reside.

The nominations were announced on Thursday (Jan. 12), and the ceremony will take place on Feb. 21. Check out the BRITs website for all nominations.
