CBS sets a stop-motion 'SpongeBob SquarePants' Christmas special
SpongeBob SquarePants is coming to CBS as the star of a brand new holiday special.
Apparently titled "It's a SpongeBob SquarePants Christmas!" the special will air on Friday, November 23 at 9:30 p.m.
After years of being traditionally animated, this will be the first "SpongeBob SquarePants" stop-motion project and will feature returning voices Tom Kenny and Andy Paley, plus guest voice John Goodman as Santa Claus.
"SpongeBob SquarePants" premiered in July of 1999 and has been the top program among kids 2-11 for more than 12 straight years on Nickelodeon.
