Will 'Dancing with the Stars' cut back to one season per year?
While it remains one of the most watched shows on TV, it would be impossible to dispute that some measure of fatigue has set in on "Dancing with the Stars."
Following an "All-Stars" season that failed to reinvigorate the desired buzz, ABC is reportedly contemplating reducing the two-installments-per-season favorite to only one round per television season.
According to NYPost.com, "Dancing" would become a spring-only series, "American Idol"-style, if ABC goes through with the entirely unconfirmed plan.
The most recent "Dancing" finale, with Melissa Rycroft [she's the "star"] winning, drew 16.7 million viewers, while overall viewership was down by 20 percent this season.
