Black Sabbath set release date for Rick Rubin-helmed reunion album '13'
After a few setbacks, the (mostly) reunited Black Sabbath's ready to unleash their new album.
"13," the legendary metal group's first album with Ozzy Osbourne since 1978's "Never Say Die!," will be released on June 11 through Vertigo/Republic.
A new video teaser (directed by Osbourne's son Jack) shows the reconstituted band in an L.A. studio with superstar producer Rick Rubin (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, everyone else who has recorded an album in the last twenty years). It includes quick interviews with Sabbath and Rubin, and snippets of new tracks.
The band's current line-up includes original bandmates Osbourne, Butler and Tony Iommi. Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk stepped in after Bill Ward exited the reunion last year.
