TNT patrols the 'Memphis Beat' again
Weeks after most of the media had already announced the renewal, TNT finally got around to confirming the news this week: "Memphis Beat" has been picked up for a second season.
The confirmation of the 10-episode second season was TNT's second pick-up of the week, following the third season order for "Hawthorne."
"Memphis Beat," which stars Jason Lee, averaged 4.7 million viewers in its summer launch.
"'Memphis Beat' is a real treasure: a slightly off-center crime drama with great actors, memorable characters and a soundtrack steeped in Memphis sounds," states Michael Wright, executive vice president and head of programming for TNT, TBS and TCM. "We look forward to another fantastic season next year."
