Johnny Depp reunites with Tim Burton once more in 'Dark Shadows'
Can you say seven-peat? Yep, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are getting close to double figures in terms of the number of times they have collaborated on the big screen. The latest? The long gestating big screen adaptation of the cult vampire soap opera "Dark Shadows."
The picture has been in development for four years and is a known passion project for Depp, but he still hadn't completely committed to the project until now. Warner Bros. has given the go ahead for "Shadows" to shoot this April.
At the moment, Burton is directing the stop motion feature version of his classic short "Frankenweenie." Depp is in the middle of shooting "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." His new thriller "The Tourist" with Angelina Jolie opens nationwide on Dec. 10.
Seth Grahame-Smith, author of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," wrote the screenplay. No release date has been announced as of yet.
