Jamie Foxx's 'Electro' look unveiled for 'Amazing Spider-Man 2'
In the upcoming sequel "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) will be getting static from Oscar winner Jamie Foxx as the menacing Electro.
Foxx was recently captured on the film's set wearing his costume, which differs greatly from the original green-and-yellow duds sported by the villain in the original comic books series, in which the villain gained power over electricity after surviving a freak lighting accident.
Non-pro set photos have appeared on Screencrush showing Foxx wearing blue makeup and a heavy, fur-lined winter parka, although it's not certain if the coat is part of Electro's costume or just a way to hide it from on-lookers. The blue seems to be glowing, as if Electro is a walking, fully-charged battery. The effect should be even more intense onscreen. Watch out, Spidey.
The sequel is being directed by Marc Webb, and co-stars returning cast members Emma Stone and Sally Field, plus newcomers Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper.
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" opens May 2, 2014.
