'Community' star Donald Glover is developing an NBC sitcom pilot
Is Donald Glover preparing for life after "Community" or is he just staying creatively busy? Or both?
According to TVGuide.com, Glover and former "30 Rock" writing colleague Matt Hubbard are developing a comedy pilot for NBC. The project, which has a put pilot commitment, "would be loosely based on Glover's life," whichever that means.
But seriously. Don't freak out, "Community" fans. This project doesn't mean an end to "Community," nor does it mean an end to Glover on "Community." This pilot would be in second position to "Community," meaning that if NBC decides to do more than the 13 currently ordered episodes of the cult favorite, Glover would continue to be involved.
"Community" returns to NBC on Friday, October 19.
