Hugh Jackman reveals that 'one of the past X-Men' will cameo in 'The Wolverine'
While it was already known that Hugh Jackman is making appearing as Wolverine in the upcoming "X-Men: Days of Future Past," there may be yet another crossover taking place in the mutant movie universe in next year's "The Wolverine."
In an interview with Parade, Jackman gave some details about the upcoming film, including the likely possibility of a cameo from another "X-Men" character.
When asked about "The Wolverine," Jackman joked, "You want to get me into trouble, don’t you?," before adding, "Okay, the movie takes place after 'X-Men: The Last Stand.' My character is at his lowest. He is supposed to be able to heal himself, but he may encounter someone who has worked out a way to really hurt him. And there is a cameo from one of the past X-Men in it."
Just which mutant hero he's talking about remains to be seen, but there are certainly plenty to choose from; Jackman has so far played Wolverine in three "X-Men" films, one solo outing and made a cameo appearance in "X-Men: First Class."
"The Wolverine" opens July 24.
