ABC renews 'Wipeout,' adds Vanessa Minnillo as co-host
ABC has renewed "Wipeout" for a fifth season and introduced Vanessa Minnillo as new co-host.
The renewal will include both winter and summer "Wipeout" installments for 2011-2012.
Minnillo ("Total Request Live," "Hawaii Five-0") will replace Jill Wagner, who is departing the show after this season to continue her acting career.
"We will miss Jill, but are thrilled to welcome Vanessa to the team and excited to bring her enthusiasm to the show. She is a great host with a fun and natural energy that our viewers will love," stated "Wipeout" creator and executive producer Matt Kunitz.
"Wipeout" returns to ABC with a special episode on June 21 and then returns to its Thursday 8 p.m. home on June 23.
