Get an early first look at Tom Cruise in 'Rock of Ages'
"Rock of Ages" director Adam Shankman couldn't wait to reveal star Tom Cruise in all his glam metal glory. The director tweeted a photo of the star -- shirtless and with long hair, no less -- rocking out on the first day of shooting.
Cruise plays Stacee Jaxx, an aging rock god who's staging a comeback in the big screen adaptation of the hit musical that also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand and Paul Giamatti.
"Rock of Ages" opens nationwide June 1, 2012.
Think Cruise can pull off the Axl Rose/Vince Neil-type character?
