10 stories you might have missed: Is this our first look at 'The Avengers'?
Can't wait to see what Marvel Studios and director Joss Whedon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") have in store for us once their epic superhero film "The Avengers" hits screens next year?
Superherohype has a low-res photo of a promo poster for the film that was discovered at the Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas. It features renderings of all the team's heroes, including Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), and, as pictured left, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).
The film also features returning characters Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Dr. Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård).
"The Avengers" opens nationwide May 4, 2012.
